BALTIMORE, MD (May 8, 2015) – In an effort to keep its customers up to date on the latest updates to the medical waste management regulations, BWS Inc. has recently joined the Healthcare Waste Institute (HWI) within the National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA).
According to its mission statement, HWI aims to “facilitate responsible healthcare waste management from all types of generators,” which is in alignment with the type of services provided by BWS Inc. Among other membership benefits, HWI offers its members education programs, networking opportunities and many other ways to stay ahead of legislative changes in the medical waste removal industry. “We decided to join the NWRA and the Healthcare Waste Institute to give our staff direct access to the state and federal regulators regarding both company-specific and industry-wide advocacy issues,” commented Trey Krell, General Manager at BWS Inc. He went on to explain that by having the institute's support, BWS Inc. can now receive industry intelligence and latest developments immediately, so that the relevant information can be passed on to customers right away, ensuring they always remain compliant and avoid fines when it comes to healthcare waste disposal. “From our email newsletter and blog to social media outlets, we've deployed a variety of online strategies to supply our customers with the latest information in the most convenient format,” added Krell in regard to the company's outreach program.
